This band is primarily comprised of high school and college students from around the greater Burlington region. Responsibilities include: Selecting repertoire to enhance fan experience, selecting repertoire related to game-day themes & promotions, arranging music for the band, recruiting musicians, rehearsing musicians, directing game-day performances.

Recommended Solos for Jazz Transcription: A Survey of Jazz Musicians and Jazz Educators. Virginia Commonwealth University. 2005
Faculty Advisor: Dr. Antonio Garcia
The project consisted of a survey submitted to over four hundred eighty-five jazz musicians and educators requesting them to recommend solos for jazz students to transcribe. The goal of the project was to develop a list of recommended solos categorized by instrument and difficulty for use by the jazz educator in a classroom situation. The survey yielded a response of 5.6% with an average recommendation of four solos from each respondent.
